MAKE YOUR LIFE RELEVANT

Memory verse: ‘See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.Ephesians 5:15-16
BIBLE PASSAGE: EPHESIANS 5:15-20
INTRODUCTION
There is nothing God does without a purpose. He created the land before plants. He created waters before fishes and other animals inside of them. A separation of plants from land or fishes from water often leads to death of plants or fishes. He created man for fellowship with Him and without Him; man can do nothing John 15:1-15
Outlines: 1. GOD KNOWS
2. GOD OF PURPOSE
GOD KNOWS
The Almighty God is alive- Exodus 3:7The Lord said, ‘I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering’’ His eyes and ears are working. He knows the location of everyone at anytime. He spoke to Moses at the back of the desert and called him by his name, Exodus 3:1-3Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, ‘I will go over and see this strange sight- why the bush does no burn up.’’ He knew the home of Abraham and the problems in the place. In the case of Samuel, He called him by his name, I Sam.3:1-10. Hophni and Phinehas were around but the Lord called on Samuel. There are several other examples in the Bible.
GOD OF PURPOSE
God has His reasons for allowing us to be at any place at a particular time. He knew that evil would be determined against the Jews and He allowed Esther to become the Queen before the evil was conceived. Esther rose to the occasion. The slave (maid) in the home of Naaman made the difference - 2 Kings 5:1-4, 14Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the Lord had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy. 2 Now bands from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife. 3 She said to her mistress, ‘If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.’ 4 Naaman went to his master and told him what the girl from Israel had said. 14 So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.’ The maid was nameless but God knew her. She was a stranger and just a maid but made herself relevant. She witnessed for God Jer.1:17Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them.’ It is dangerous to witness against God by your actions and deeds. The maid made herself relevant in the affairs in this home. She only heard of Elisha as against Gehazi, a son of prophet who had nothing to show for it 2 Kings 4:29-41. Note that with or without the maid, God’s purpose will stand. God could have used another method for Naaman without the girl. Esther 4:10-14Then she instructed him to say to Mordecai, 11 ‘All the king’s officials and the people of the royal provinces know that for any man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned the king has but one law: that he be put to death. The only exception to this is for the king to extend the gold scepter to him and spare his life. But thirty days have passed since I was called to go to the king.’ 12 when Esther’s words were reported to Mordecai, 13 he sent back this answer: ‘Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. 14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?’
CONCLUSION

God has allowed each and everyone of us to be in the places we are for His purpose. He wants us to vigorously win souls and bring more souls to Him. Remember that no one can hold God ransom. God always has a David for every disobedient Saul. Who knows whether He has allowed us in the Kingdom for such a time as this? Esther 4:14
