OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

So he answered and said to me “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, “Not by might nor by power but by my Spirit”, says the Lord of hosts” Who are you, O Great Mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone, with shouts of grace, grace to it” (Zachariah 4:6-7)

Anything and everything about the church has to be by the Leading, Guidance and Enabling Power of the Holy Spirit in order for it to succeed and bring glory to God and blessing to the people.

In the Holy Spirit is wisdom, knowledge, understanding and skill to function effectively and efficiently in life. Life in quantity and good quality is abundant in the Holy Spirit.

“However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age who are coming to nothing…. But as it is written: eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But “God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes the deep things of God” (I Corin.2:6-10)

The kingdom of God is already here and is becoming more powerful through the mighty manifestation of the fullness of the Holy Spirit in the church, so you are to yield, move, live, swim and bath in the Spirit.

Jesus Christ as well as the early apostles were led, guided and worked in the power of the Holy Spirit. How God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power and He was going about doing good, delivering those who are being oppressed by the devil for God was with Him (Acts 10:38)

The Holy Spirit stabilizes a man, guarantees your future and moves you into the future. You are to be trained to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is a helper, comforter, not your servant, and He is God that you need to consult regularly.

Your ability to hear from the Holy Spirit flows from your loving obedience to Jesus Christ’s commands. You must love Jesus, hunger and thirst for Him, have a strong desire to know Him, to hear from Heaven. Come to Him driven by love and not for recognition, have strong desire for God and the things of the kingdom of heaven. The Holy Spirit’s presence in your life is what gives satisfaction. To invoke His presence, worship Him in spirit and in truth, praise Him, call upon Him earnestly and with joy in your heart; live to please Him, detach from earthly bondage, set yourself apart from selfish instinct and devote yourself to God.

The work of the Holy Spirit is to make us to be like Jesus. The Holy Spirit brings sanctification and the revelation of Jesus Christ. To receive the continuous flow of the Spirit, my motive must be pure and centered on Jesus.

The Holy Spirit desires to give you understanding of God’s will, help you to overcome temptations and the test of life, give you perfect joy in the face of the storm of life.

The power of God is released for the miraculous as you worship Jesus.

Come to His presence having not your own opinion; loose your spirit for God to work through, not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of the Lord.

Seek for divine revelation that will move you from your zone of comfort. We need to come sincerely to the Holy Spirit and ask what His opinion is about what we want to do and what He has to tell us about Jesus.

Let your heart be clean, pure, have right motives and be willing and ready to listen and do what He commands. Revelation is to be given to people who will use it for His glory, being mindful of the kingdom, not to build self-empire. Recognize your poor state in the spirit, and never feel you have arrived.

MARKS OF THE MOVE OF THE SPIRIT

  1. It will be spontaneous.
  2. It will give us perfect love for Jesus
  3. It will take away unorthodox things that do not bring joy to you and glory to Jesus. The Spirit of God will do what He wants to do; we are in for a new charismatic move all over the world, the church and every denomination.
  4. Simplicity- freedom or liberty to serve God. Quickness in the body and spirit of the believer. Grace to live by faith like never before will be impacted.
  5. A new love for the brethren, reconciling work or net working among faithful believers, denominational barriers will be broken. Superficial walls of division, pride will be shattered; there will be unity in the body of Christ. The love of God will be shed abroad in the heart of the brethren for one another.
  6. A new power for evangelism, breaking new grounds for church growth and church planting among the un-reached people and groups.

God has promised to pour His Spirit upon all flesh in this latter days, especially to those who have been called and saved by His precious blood and are committed to serving or representing the kingdom by living and speaking for Him, the Spirit will be given you without measure.

We encourage you therefore to position yourself well for the flow as you worship and serve Him like never before.

Shalom.

Pastor Bamikole Isaac.
