MAKE YOUR LIFE RELEVANT

Memory verse: ‘See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.Ephesians 5:15-16
BIBLE PASSAGE: EPHESIANS 5:15-20
INTRODUCTION
There is nothing God does without a purpose. He created the land before plants. He created waters before fishes and other animals inside of them. A separation of plants from land or fishes from water often leads to death of plants or fishes. He created man for fellowship with Him and without Him; man can do nothing John 15:1-15
Outlines: 1. GOD KNOWS
2. GOD OF PURPOSE
GOD KNOWS
The Almighty God is alive- Exodus 3:7The Lord said, ‘I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering’’ His eyes and ears are working. He knows the location of everyone at anytime. He spoke to Moses at the back of the desert and called him by his name, Exodus 3:1-3Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, ‘I will go over and see this strange sight- why the bush does no burn up.’’ He knew the home of Abraham and the problems in the place. In the case of Samuel, He called him by his name, I Sam.3:1-10. Hophni and Phinehas were around but the Lord called on Samuel. There are several other examples in the Bible.
GOD OF PURPOSE
God has His reasons for allowing us to be at any place at a particular time. He knew that evil would be determined against the Jews and He allowed Esther to become the Queen before the evil was conceived. Esther rose to the occasion. The slave (maid) in the home of Naaman made the difference - 2 Kings 5:1-4, 14Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the Lord had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy. 2 Now bands from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife. 3 She said to her mistress, ‘If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.’ 4 Naaman went to his master and told him what the girl from Israel had said. 14 So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.’ The maid was nameless but God knew her. She was a stranger and just a maid but made herself relevant. She witnessed for God Jer.1:17Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them.’ It is dangerous to witness against God by your actions and deeds. The maid made herself relevant in the affairs in this home. She only heard of Elisha as against Gehazi, a son of prophet who had nothing to show for it 2 Kings 4:29-41. Note that with or without the maid, God’s purpose will stand. God could have used another method for Naaman without the girl. Esther 4:10-14Then she instructed him to say to Mordecai, 11 ‘All the king’s officials and the people of the royal provinces know that for any man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned the king has but one law: that he be put to death. The only exception to this is for the king to extend the gold scepter to him and spare his life. But thirty days have passed since I was called to go to the king.’ 12 when Esther’s words were reported to Mordecai, 13 he sent back this answer: ‘Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. 14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?’
CONCLUSION

God has allowed each and everyone of us to be in the places we are for His purpose. He wants us to vigorously win souls and bring more souls to Him. Remember that no one can hold God ransom. God always has a David for every disobedient Saul. Who knows whether He has allowed us in the Kingdom for such a time as this? Esther 4:14

WALKING IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

TEXT: ‘Daniel 11:32’. (Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits).
Introduction.
God does not have problem in knowing you because: He is your creator. You are not a product of evolution from the amoeba or apes.
‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I sanctified you I ordained you a prophet to the nations.’ (Jeremiah 1:5, Isaiah 49:1, 5)
He is your source and sustainer, your life begins with Him and will end with Him. ‘Psalms 95:6-7’
Why do you have to know God?

1- He is your creator. Genesis 1:26
2- Your life depends on Him, in Him only you can have fullness of life. ‘John 10:10, Jn. 15:5-7’
3- He loves and cares for you; He is very mindful of you. ‘Psalms 8:4-6’. He visits you daily, crowns you with glory and honour, and gives you dominion over the works of his hands. He gave His son Jesus Christ up for your sins and my sins. He destroyed all the works of the devil on your behalf. ‘John 3:16, I John 1:7, I John 3:8.
4- He wants you to daily walk with Him so that you can understand Him and speak for Him. (Amos 3:7-8). He brings you to a place where you can exercise divine authority.
5- You bring Him delight when you understand and Know Him. Jeremiah 9:23-24.

How can I know Him?

1) Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. ‘Exodus 33:13, Psalms 103:7, Deuteronomy 29:29, Jeremiah 33:3’
2) Seek and call upon the Lord. ‘Isaiah 55:6-7, Mathew 6:33.’
3) Respond to His call for a deeper knowledge of Him/fellowship. ‘Isaiah 1:18-20, Isaiah 55:1-3, Acts 9:3-6.’
4) Read, study and meditate on the Word. John 1:1-2, 14. Your knowledge of Gods word and allowing the Word to become flesh in you brings you to the class of God; exercise of divine authority and power. ‘John 6:63’

Benefits of knowing God.

1. To know God is life eternal, you have everlasting life (John 17:3). If you want to make it to heaven, you must seek to know and do the will of God while on earth.
2. Knowing Him guarantees your freedom from sin and consequences of sin. ‘John 8:32’
3. It is compulsory to know Him if you want to be strong and do exploit. ‘Daniel 11:32’ to have strength or impregnable force to do notable achievement, perform great feat of deed. To be immune to attack and become incapable of being tampered with. Those who do not know God will be weak and shall live useless lives.
4. Those who do not know Him are destroyed, rejected by God, and their children will be forgotten by God. ‘Hosea 4:6.’
5. The knowledge of God is a vital key to operate or exercise God’s kind of faith and do God’s kind of work. ‘John 6:28-29, John 5:17; John 14:12.’
6. The undeserved blessings and peace is multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ, everything that pertains to life and godliness can easily be accessed. (2 Peter 1:2-4).

Conclusion:

It is a matter of life and death for everyone of us to know Him if we want to remain His favourites, have eternal life, be freed, be strong, do exploits. Refuse to be destroyed and be rejected by God. We owe it a duty to know HIM.
(Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come in to him and dine with him and him with ME. Revelation 3:20)
God bless you,
Shalom.
