SUNRISE

But to you who fear My Name, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings and you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day that I do this; says the Lord of Host.

God is a God of season and time. He has absolute control over the season and time of men, nations and the church. In the Book of Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 Verses 1-8, the Bible describes the various seasons and times which have its own purpose under the heaven. Regardless of the season and time, the Almighty God makes everything beautiful in His time.

To you who fear “My Name”, the season and time for the Day Spring, the Light from heaven and the Sun of Righteousness to break upon you has come. Then is a new order, a new glory, a new dawn coming upon who walk uprightly before Him. He is putting an end to your sorrow, mourning, sighing, weeping and everything that has to do with darkness in your life and environment.

There is an end to His anger and a beginning of favour for life. There is an end to your weeping and night. Your joy, morning and sunrise have come. Lord says because of His tender mercies, “The Light from heaven”, the Sun of Righteousness is about to break upon you.

From now, God will make your life to matter. You will be blessed and be a blessing. Your influence in your family, community and nation shall be noticed and people will come into your light and glory. They will evolve around you and be influenced positively.

God has designated this season and time for all who love and serve Him in truth to receive salvation, deliverance and victory. As the Sun rises and your light breaks forth, there is a new dawn and a new beginning. God’s glory and righteousness will shine like the sun bringing to you the Ultimate Goodness, Blessings, Salvation, Delivrance and Healing.

1) - Ultimate Goodness: The best part of the good of the land just as God gave the land of Goshen to the children of Israel in Egypt, because your portion is in the land of the living. His Excellent Spirit begins to manifest in you to make you excel in every area of your endeavour. God will make all His goodness possible to pass before you. As the light breaks forth on you, God’s glory, honour and favour becomes your lot and no good thing will be withheld from you. His goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life. (Psalm 84:11; Psalm 23:6; and Exodus 33:19).

2) - Ultimate Blessings: As the Sun rises upon you, expect Divine Help, Happiness, Favour, Protection, Approval, Long Life, Direction from the Lord. (Psalm 128:1-6; Isaiah 35:10)

3) - Ultimate Salvation: Brethren, the season for the saving of your soul from sin and its consequences has come. If you will fear Him you will be saved from ruin, loss and failure. (I Thessalonians 5:9; I John 3:8).

4) - Ultimate Delivrance: God is out to save those that fear Him from bad situations and danger, because of His Sunrise. “The eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.” (Psalm 33:17).

5) - Healing: is one of the marks of the heirs of the Kingdom whose sun has arisen. The sun will cause you to become healthy both physically and spiritually, productive in the works of your hands. The sun will bring comfort to the afflicted and heal the broken hearted. 5Matthew 4:23; II Chronicles 7:14; Isaiah 53:5-6 and Psalm 147:3).

When the Sun rises upon you, everything that has been wrong will be made right. God’s people will leap for joy like calves released from the stall. Weeping is turned to joy, failure to success and defeat to victory.

In Genesis 23:31, the Bible records that the sun rose upon Jacob and hence significant changes began in his life. His enemy suddenly became his friend and his guard. Planned destruction was changed to reconciliation, fear to triumph and distress to joy. He began to walk differently from the past. He entered into the Ultimate Purpose of God for his life.

The Bible says, “Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you”. I see your life taking a new turn for the best in the Name of Jesus, if you begin to walk differently from the past. That is walking with God in absolute trust and obedience.

Your season of mercy and favour has come. Walk in the fear of God and in righteousness. Be a praise warrior, a generous giver, a prayer warrior and a soul winning warrior. Your light must surely shine forth as you are connected to the Sun of Righteousness.

PRAYER

1 - Father, let the cloud blocking the sunlight of my glory and Ultimate Breakthrough be dispersed.

2 - Let the fire of God consume any rock, chain, fetter or peg tying me down to the same spot.

3 - Lord, help me to identify and deal with any weakness in me that can hinder my shinning or sunrise forever.

4 - Father, let your light in me so shine to scatter or disperse darkness and for the people to see your good work and glorify you.

5 - Lord, in your mercy and favour, let the sun light from heaven break upon me. Let not my light go down again. (Isaiah 60:20; Luke 1:78).

WINNING HOPE

For when God made a promise to Abraham because He could not swear by no one greater He swore by Himself, saying, surely in blessing I will bless you, multiplying I will multiply you. And so after he had patiently endured he obtained the promise. (Heb.6:13-15)

Hope is one of the factors that keep a man going in His world of challenges and uncertainty. Hope ignites passion and resurrects desire, it motivates a man, encourages enterprises and it makes praying a delight. Hope is a spirit of conviction to trust, to rely on, to wish and expect, though the thing wished for seems unlikely. The Bible says "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength" (Isaiah 40:31). Job in the Bible was able to say "I know my Redeemer lives and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth, and though my skin be destroyed by worms, yet in my flesh shall I see God" despite all what he went through in form of affliction, sorrow, pain, neglect and loss.

Why do we need hope? We need hope because we have in our thoughts that despite all the odd things we are going through God can do something about our case as in the case of Job cited above. Our hope in God brings salvation. We are saved in this hope. Hope that is seen is not hope, for we cannot hop for what we see. We only hope for what we do not see and we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. Abraham was promised to be given a child through which the nations of the earth will be blessed at the age of 75 years. But he received the fulfilment of God's promise when he was 100 years old. Abraham, who contrary to hope, in hope believed so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, h was not weak in faith, he did not consider his own body already dead, did not weaver at God's promise through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God. The Bible says Abraham was fully convinced that what god has promised, He was able also to perform. Abraham was persuaded beyond reasonable doubt that God was able to perfect and perform that which concerns him as regards the promise of Isaac.

The same attitude is what God expects of us today as His children regardless of the contrary situation we might find ourselves in. we must not be hopeless, that is we must not "HOPE - LESS". Hopelessness dries up the bones, stagnates or destroys desire and leads to premature resignation an acceptance of status quo. Do not be downcast in your soul, put your hope in God, encourage yourself in the Lord. Self-encouragement is the best motivation for keeping hope alive: praise the Lord in the face of adversity.

God does not want you to give up in seemingly hard times. Remember constantly god's plans, covenant, His loving kindness and faithfulness that never fail. Hope may not be deferred but cannot be denied. You need to keep hope alive by waiting on Him in expectation that He will hear your cry and answer you. You will be a winner, victorious in your hopeless situation as you allow the one whose hope cannot be lost in your life and in all your plans.

You will have to cultivate the habit of speaking the right word into your situation. When your situation is confusing or hopeless, turn it over to the one who knows all things and can do all things. The Bible says "I know oh Lord you can do everything and no plan or purpose of yours can be thwarted. His eyes are on the sparrow and He will see you through as you confirm Him to be able to turn your situation around".

To turn your situation around, you must persist and persevere in doing what you know how best to do, your working at it will pay you off. Isaac was in a land ravaged with famine but at the same time went planting. He reaped a hundredfold that same year.
For you to get what you are trusting God for, you must believe, have faith in God and persevere in the face of opposition or odd situations.

Do not allow what is happening around you to affect the way you think, see and talk. When it seems hard or difficult, that is the time that you are to seek or hope in God the more. "Therefore, do not cast away the confidence which has a great recompense or reward, for you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:35-36).

God is still in the business of changing lives and situations, but He does this according to the definition you give the situation. Whatever He hears you say, that is what He will do. God does not change but He does every change necessary in the life of whomever trusts or hopes in Him.

I am just convinced beyond reasonable doubt that this is the ACCEPTED TIME for God to help you, save and favour you.
And you need God's countenance of favour upon your lives in order to get your Canaan land I mean you need the approval and favour of God upon your life.
In psalms 23:5 David talks of God's special favour, Blessings upon his life by anointing his head with oil which represents the ever abiding presence of God with him No wonder he attracted Heaven attention at his choice for kingship, despite his rotten back ground can you just pause a bit and put your right hand on your head and pray this prayer with me -Father in Jesus name anchor my head with oil for favour and let every one that sees me or hear my name from now favour me Amen. Are you faced with the fiercest battle of your life, by the countenance of favour upon you, you will overcome every oppression and win every battle by the power and authority of Jesus. Read 11 kings: 4.
In Genesis 19:19-24, Lot because of favour was delivered from destruction in Sodom and Gomorrah. It's my prayer that as from now you will be rescued from every calamity by the mighty hands of God.
The countenance of favour that is coming upon you right now will reverse every negative situation in your life that seems irreversible before now and every arrester of your destiny shall be arrested. In Esther 7: 3, God did it for Esther and her people in Babylon .It's my prayer that every decree, decisions made against you anywhere shall be reversed and you will be moved to the next level. Beloved but mind you there are things you need to do to receive the Countenance of favour from God .So what you need to do are as follows;
(i) Hebrews 1:9, like righteousness, like Jesus and hate evil, sin and iniquity.
(ii) Honour and fear the Lord .Genesis 39:2, 3, 21, and 23.
(iii) Live holy for God and be obedient.
(Iv)Pray and fast, mark (9:29).
Results of Receiving God's Countenance of favour.
(i) Strength
(ii) You'll be blessed and be a channel of blessings for others.
(iii) Be a terror to the enemy and make them powerless.
(iv) Attracts favour from men.
(v) Over flowing of all good things.
In case you've been suffering from manipulated countenance of Hatred, illuck, failure, torment, disappointment by the blood of Jesus your body, soul and spirit will be cleansed.

THE CHURH AND THE HIV/AIDS MENACE

The threat of HIV/AIDS is growing daily. It is a threat that is invisible (until you are faced with its devastating results), totally indiscriminate (making its claims on people of every nationality, ethnic group and religion), cuts across political, geographic, social and economic barrier (respect no one) and has grown over the last 20years to points of global crisis.

According to recent UNAIDS research, about 47.3 million people have been infected with the virus since its start (4.4 million of them, children under age 15) and 13.9 million people are already dead (3.2 million of them children under age 15) .1998 reports estimated 33.4 million people living with the infection (32.2 million adults and 1.2 million children under 15) and about 5.8 million new infections (about 16000 new cases per day).

Also according to Wess Stafford, president of the Compassion International (a Christian Organisation), 6000 people die of AIDS every day (the 4th leading cause of death in the world), 20 million people have already died of AIDS since it began about 20 years ago, 42 million people are living with it and about 14 million children have been orphaned by it. The disease is so deadly that the medical community has not been able to find a defence let alone a cure for the disease.

What really is HIV/AIDS?
HIV is the Human Immunodeficiency Virus. There are at least 2 main types-HIV 1 and HIV 2 (HIV-1 subtype o was isolated in Cameroon in 1994). AIDS is Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. It is a group of clinical symptoms that characterise the HIV infection. By destroying the cells of the immune system, HIV interferes with the body's ability to effectively fight off viruses, bacteria and fungi thereby making the body more susceptible to opportunistic infections that it would normally have resisted .AIDS is the later stage of the disease. People don't die directly from HIV. HIV simply weakens the body's system defence making it vulnerable to almost anything else. The infection manifests in three major phases: the acute phase (window or seronegative Stage because an HIV seronegical test carried out at this time will turn out negative).It last for 3-6 months. Common symptoms are fever, sore throats and swollen lymph nodes. A person at this stage capable of passing on the virus. The asymptomatic phase is the period of seroconversion when antibodies against HIV appear. This period lasts between 0-10 and more years. The AIDS stage (stage of sickness) is the period when clinical diagnosis can be made. The risk of transmission of the disease increases with the stage of the disease. It is worthy to note that HIV causes AIDS but not all persons having HIV are suffering from AIDS. It is important to diagnose HIV early enough as this will help stop the HIV infection from progressing into AIDS and this will help create an HIV free population because people who know they are seronegative would want to keep themselves negative.

The virus is contracted mainly through blood and blood products, through sexual contact with infected people, through contaminated instruments and through mother-to-child in the womb, during birth and during breastfeeding. It is important that people know their serological status in time as this will help stop or slow the progression of HIV to AIDS. It will also help them live longer and healthier, stay in their jobs and be able to take better care of themselves etc. For the moment, the medical community continues to research for a solution more optimistic than it was 20years ago. If we are to find hope in the midst of this hopeless situation then we must turn to GOD and the BIBLE.

Some in the religious community say that there is no need for treatment. All that is needed is unyielding faith in God's power and healing will definitely come. The scripture talks of legitimacy of doctors and medical treatment as well as the priority of praying to the great physician. In matt 9:12 Christ expressed the value of physicians. Here he implied that just as a person who is physically sick needs a physician so also a person who is spiritually sick needs Christ. Other scriptures that can help with this view are Lk 10:30-37, Isaiah 37:21,Ex.29:14,Dt:23:12-14 (talks about sanitation), Lev.11:47 talks about hygiene and diet all pointing to various elements of the use of medical means to secure good health. Also Antiretroviral were being sold for about 400.000fcfa-500.000fcfa some years ago and today they are selling at 3.000fcfa-7.000fcfa. We see that this is a miracle of God to help the situation until a permanent solution is got.

There is however this reality that regardless of the means involved it is God who heals. So as we seek medical help, we pray to the great physician for healing and allow the problem in His wisdom whose compassion never fails and whose mercies are new every morning (Lam 3:22-23). How do we pray at such times? According to His will (1 John 5:14-15 ) knowing also that no matter how much we want physical healing there is within each of us the true person (the soul )which will live forever somewhere (2 Cor.5:1-2 ). In the midst of suffering the hope of eternal life should bring more hope to the sufferer than anything else. Eternal life is a gift of God, offered freely to all who will accept it by receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

It is time for us all to know our HIV serological status. Those who are seronegative should do all to remain negative and those who are seropositive should seek medical attention early enough so as to remain healthy.

It is also time for Christians to show a Christ like attitude and to rise up in action on behalf of the suffering (those infected and those orphaned and widowed by this infection).
